Two uncapped women players in Meghna Singh and Yastika Bhatia have been called up for the tour of Australia in September-October. Meghna Singh plays for Railways as a medium-pacer and Bhatia is a left-handed batter from Baroda. The 25-year old Renuka Singh is also among the players earning their maiden national call.

Renuka is a pace-bowling all-rounder from Himachal Pradesh. The experienced Rajeshwari Gayakwad is also back to the squad after recovering from an injury that she picked during the recent tour of England.

India's tour to Australia will start with three ODIs, after which the two teams will play a one-off day-night Test match at Perth. The series will end with three T20Is. The selectors of India have picked the same squad for the Test and ODI series that toured the UK recently. Mithali Raj will lead the 18-member contingent with Harmanpreet Kaur leading the T20I squad, which has 17 members.
