'I think there is no comparison between Virat and Sachin' - Mohammad Yousuf

Pakistan ex-captain Mohammad Yousaf has jumped on the popular debate and compared Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. The erstwhile elegant batsman from Pakistan has more reverence for Tendulkar as he rates him a batsman endowed with out of this world finesse and class and not that he looks down on Virat Kohli, he heaped praise on modern-day Indian batting genius as well.

"He (Kohli) has done it and no matter how much we praise him it's less. But at the same time, I think there is no comparison between Virat and Sachin. Tendulkar was a different class altogether. He scored 100 international hundreds and keep in mind the era he played in and the bowlers he played against," Mohammad Yousuf was quoted as saying by PTI.

That being said, Yousuf believes that Kohli can achieve more greatness and go places as he is at the pinnacle of his career and he will be scoring tons fluently soon.

"Kohli is only 32 and this is the age at which top batsmen hit prime and it is only a matter of time before he starts getting hundreds again. To achieve what he has already achieved is formidable and to me, scoring 70 Test and One-day International hundreds (by Kohli) is extreme," Yousuf said.

In his terrific career, Kohli has thus far scored 7490 runs in 91 Tests at a staggering average of 52.37. In 254 ODIs, he has racked up 12169 runs at 59.07 average and has scored 43 hundreds and 62 fifties. Kohli has a fantastic record both in India and overseas and he has scored match-winning knocks everywhere. His ability to chase down targets with ease and soak in pressure makes him a coveted asset.

Sachin Tendulkar is arguably the best batsman the game has ever witnessed. He made batting look ridiculously easy and his shots were aesthetically pleasing. Not to mention his weight transfer was precise and he nonchalantly reached one milestone after another. Tendulkar has the record for scoring the most number of centuries in Tests as well as ODIs. In 200 Tests, Tendulkar scored 51 centuries and 68 fifties. Moreover, he amassed 18426 runs in ODIs and has 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries to his name.

Inarguably, both epoch-making batting legends from India have entertained the crowd royally and have been an inspiration.
