Zimbabwe bowling coach Douglas Hondo has sent out a warning to the Pakistan camp, saying that his side will enter the final T20I with more vigour and zeal to win the series.

Talking to the media in a virtual presser ahead of the final T20I on April 25 (Sunday), Hondo said Zimbabwe will have to get back to the drawing board to prepare for the series decider.

“We would not be overdoing with victory celebration today as we will have to get back on the drawing board Saturday to prepare for the all-important series decider,” Zondo said as quoted by the News.

“We want to keep the same pressure on the Pakistan team that was there on Friday. Our job hasn’t finished as yet as now we want to win the series by making our best efforts in the third T20.”

The former Zimbabwe cricketer was also impressed by the way his bowlers implemented the plans handed out for every Pakistan batsman. Pakistan were given a small total of 119 to get an unassailable lead in the series, but the pressure created by Zimbabwe bowlers meant they crumbled and bundled out on 99 in 19.5 overs.

The architect-in-chief for the win was the all-rounder Luke Jongwe, who picked up four wickets to instigate this batting collapse from Pakistan.

“They bowled brilliantly, making sure that whatever plan was there for each batsman should be implemented. I am confident that bowlers would be seen at their best in the last T20 also,” he said.
