Zimbabwe ended their 15-match losing streak against Pakistan in comprehensive style as the tourists were taken by surprise on a tricky pitch and Babar Azam-led side bundled on a paltry 99 in pursuit of a modest 119 target. The abysmal batting performance didn't amuse Pakistan fans as well as former cricketers.

Ramiz Raja didn't mince his words and went all guns blazing after Pakistan's insipid performance today. He was surprised at batsmen' shot selection and saw lack of technique.

“Pakistan players played reckless shots and there was no technique or partnership. (Blessing) Muzarabani was the only quality bowler in their (Zimbabwe) lineup and if you get a chance to watch the replays you will see that our batting seemed so ordinary against him," said Raja.

"Pakistan team looked like a rabbit in the headlights. They were expecting disasters, did not back themselves and showed an ordinary performance against a club level side.

“I’m shocked as to whether I should analyse this or express anger over this. This clearly is a very dark moment in our history,” he added.

Zimbabwe mustered a strong and disciplined bowling performance against top-ranked Pakistan and wasn't overawed by the strong on paper batting line-up who struggled to acclimatize to the conditions. Zimbabwe's margin of victory (19 runs) shows how Pakistan was languishing way behind in the chase.

Pakistan are coming on the back of dominant performances in South Africa where they won the T20I series convincingly by 3-1. Zimbabwe wasn't seen as a real threat but the upset today has made the series come to life as both teams will now lock horns in the series decider on Sunday.
