Dom Sibley suffers finger injury, set to miss two Championship fixtures

Sibley is expected to miss Warwickshire's next two County Championship matches while the injury heals.

"Warwickshire CCC can confirm that Dom Sibley has a fracture to the second finger of his right hand following an X-ray," a club statement read.

"Sibley is being regularly assessed and his contribution to the remainder of the game will be determined by the level of discomfort that the player is experiencing and the medical team."

The England batsman will be reassessed at the end of this month ahead of any firm decision about his return to action.

Sibley's teammate Ben Stokes also suffered a broken finger while fielding in the IPL but underwent surgery described as "successful" by an ECB spokesperson.
