Why didn't Aamir Khan talk to Johi Chawla for seven years?

Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan says that he did not talk to his fellow actress Johi Chawla for about six to seven years. According to the Hindustan Times, Aamir Khan said that he had stopped talking to Johi Chawla over a minor disagreement. Aamir Khan and Johi Chawla started their film careers in Bollywood with the movie 'Qiyamat Se Qiyamat Tak'. Aamir Khan said at the screening of one of his documentaries that he had a quarrel with Johi Chawla over a trivial matter during the shooting of Ishq, so he thought he would never talk to his co-star again.

Aamir Khan said that even on the set of the film, he was far away from Johi Chawla. Aamir Khan himself expressed surprise at his attitude and said, "I know why I had adopted such an attitude, I think I was somewhat egoistic then." Mr. Perfectionist further expressed his displeasure that if Johi Chawla came and sat next to him, he would get up and go out. Aamir Khan laughed and said, "I used to sit at least fifty feet away, only talking during scenes, that too only about work." The friendship between Aamir Khan and Johi Chawla was restored in 2002 when Aamir Khan was in the process of divorcing his ex-wife Reena Dutt.

Johi Chawla also had a very good friendship with Reena Dutt. When Johi Chawla found out about the divorce, he called Aamir Khan despite his anger and asked to meet him. Johi Chawla was trying to resolve the differences between Aamir Khan and Reena Dutt instead of divorce. Aamir Khan said that Johi knew that he would not pick up his phone, but still Johi called him. Aamir Khan said that Johi's effort made him realize that despite the differences, there was no difference in the friendship between the two.

"Of course we weren't talking, but we were still worried about each other." Congratulating Aamir Khan on his 56th birthday, Johi Chawla said that she considers herself very lucky that she worked with Aamir Khan and made many memorable films besides delicious memories.
